Morning Commutes
Wow this is beyond weird. Microsoft recently began providing free bus transportation for some of it’s employees in China. Pretty sweet right? Wrong. The bus is full of personal workstations, meaning every minute of the commute is officially extra work time. I guess they should probably stop calling it “free” transportation.

Caps Lock Training Key
Because nothing is more annoying than feeling like you ARE BEING YELLED AT WHILE TRYING TO READ SOMETHING. Seriously.

Hey ladies, why not embrace your inner geek with some sweet computer floppy disk earrings? They probably won’t help you score a date, but they’ll definately get you some respect from the tech squad.
The earrings are hand-sculpted out of polymer clay by artist Lauren Swingle, and can be ordered for $15 from The Clay Collection.

Canned Responses for Lazy Emailers

I must admit that I have been particularly happy about some of the new features coming out of Google Labs recently. Last week it was the Mail Goggles, and this week it’s the equally brilliant Canned Responses, or “email for the truly lazy”.
“If you’re sick of typing out the same reply every time someone emails you with a common question, now you can compose your reply once and save the message text with the “Canned responses” button. Later, you can open that same message and send it again and again.”
And with the help of Gmail’s pre-existing filters which can sort through your messages using a combination of keywords and sender/recipient info, you can set up automated messages for different keywords, which means you can finally spend the rest of your work day doing more important tasks…like playing solitaire.

Safe Web Browsing at Work
If you flirt with disaster on a daily bases by navigating to inappropriate web pages while at work, well then the web site Vanishd has a solution for you.
Once active, Vanishd lays a work safe webpage or word document on top of the site you are actually interested in, and gives you a small window controlled by your mouse that looks through the top page, and into the page you wanted hidden.
Ok yeah I know that makes absolutely no sense, so instead of trying to explain it to you, how about you just watch this video.

7-Election 2008
Until this morning, the thought of getting my coffee from a 7-Eleven had never even crossed my mind. So what changed? Well, you can now show support for your presidential candidate of choice by buying one of these 7-Election cups, each of which casts a vote for the cups respective candidate.
“Votes are being tallied and reported each week in USA Today. 7-Election voters have successfully predicted the last two presidential elections - so cast your vote today, with cream and sugar!”
As of right now the 7-Election website has Obama at 59%, and McCain at 41%.
