This limited edition 18k gold pen from Caran d’Ache, titled 1010, was built to “celebrate the special genius of watchmakers”, the name having been chosen because of the perfectly balanced look of a watch’s hands at that time.  The pen alludes to the inner workings of a fine timepiece in several ways, including non-working gears underneath the pen’s transparent surface, a clip in the shape of a watch hand, a decorative balance wheel poised between two rubies, and small tick marks etched around its barrel.

With a price tag of $19K this pen is the real deal, meaning that to afford it your business dealings need to be as well.
