Feng Shui your office/cubicle

While I would prefer decorating my cubicle with things that make me forget about the fact that I’m at work, my bosses prefer decorations that keep me focused and productive. So I decided to apply some of the principals of Feng Shui to my cubicle in an effort to create a more harmonious and organized environment.
Here are some tips on how to Feng Shui your cubicle/office:
Keep your desk and work area clean and free of clutter. Add small pleasant decorations, and a single personal item to make the office seem safe and inviting. Beautiful items that catch the eye are said to attract chi. Hide your chords as they represent chaos. Doing so will eliminate clutter and allow the free flow of chi.
Organize your paperwork horizontally rather than vertically. Stacks of paper make you feel like your work is endless
Put a safe made of metal in either the West or Northwest corners, which both represent the metal element. The safe symbolizes the prosperity and financial security of your business.
Strategically place your computer in the area of your office that best suits the work you do. Placing your computer in the North or West corner of your office is said to enhance creativity, while placing it in the Southeast corner is good for those who use their computer to generate income.
Take great care of the files you store in your office as it demonstrates respect for your business records. They represent your past, present, and future business.
Be cautious when placing mirrors in your office. Mirrors can reflect negative energy from clients to other people in the room. Avoid placing your desk opposite a mirror, it doubles your workload. Instead use mirrors along with pictures and paintings on side walls to break apart large rooms.
Hope this is of help to someone. I’m off to go drink some tea.
