Herman Miller Embody Chair
At last it looks like Herman Millers much anticipated new office chair, the Embody, will finally becoming available. The chair, which was designed by the late Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber, has a 4 layer cushion with 93 plastic hexagon discs that move around as users shift their weight in the chair.
The Embody will come in 13 colors, and should be available starting early 2009 for a measly $1595.

I’m sitting on one now, and the comfort is amazing. It blows away everything I’ve tested (or owned) including the Aeron, Think, Leap, Foray, etc.
Looks a little funky, but in black it doesn’t look as strange, and the comfort is fantastic.
If you go with standard black base (not Stainless, or Titanium), then you should be able to negotiate a price around 1K.
I love the Embody Chair! It has been the best purchase I made for an office chair. Think about how much money people spend on beds and ergonomic tools. I bought mine on Ebay far below the $1600 price quoted above. Best thing I ever did! Cheers!
The Embody is finally available for retail! I read all these blog articles back in October and have been drooling since. I just ordered mine at HermanMillerSeating.com - $1600 is pretty steep, but we’ll see
Really awesome chair
You can buy this is different color as seen here http://www.embodychair.net/ but I personally love the orange color
