Bathrooms: The New Home Office (Gross!)

working from the john

According to a recent survey sponsored by Nokia, about 53 percent of working Americans have been interrupted by a work-related phone call or email while in the bathroom.  The survey also found that 60 percent of working Americans never turn off their mobile device.

While I don’t see bathrooms being fitted with white desks and desktop computers anytime soon, the rules for when and where work should be done are quickly changing as technology allows us to work from anywhere at anytime, a fact supported by the surveys findings that sixty-two percent of working Americans have had their personal lives interrupted by work 10 or fewer times each week.
