A Guide to Life Inside the Cubicle

World’s Fastest Photocopier

Instead of wasting precious time explaining the many ways in which this marvelous machine will improve your life, I’ll skip right to the facts.  It’s called The ORPHIS X9050, it’s made by the Japanese office quipment manufacturer Riso, and is supposedly the world’s fastest color photocopier.

The copier is powered by an Intel Celeron M440 1.86GHz processor, has 1GB of memory, 160GB of storage, runs Linux and supports 1000BASE-T Ethernet.  Have no idea what that means?  Me neither.  What I do know though is that it is capable of pushing out 150 copies per minute, and offers 300×600 dpi resolution, which should be more than enough copying power to get you to your meeting on time with enough copies for everyone.

As is to be expected, the world’s fastest copier comes with a hefty price tag.  The ORPHIS X905 will cost you a whopping $46,000, on top of which the ink cartridges run about $400 a piece, or $1600 for a complete CMYK set.
