A Guide to Life Inside the Cubicle

Protect Against Eye Fatigue

Keeping your eyes glued to the computer all day can put a real strain on your eyes, and usually winds up hurting your productivity.

But luckily for workaholics, hardcore gamers, and internet porn enthusiasts, there is now a company called Gunnar Optiks that makes eye-wear specifically designed to reduce the side effects of staring at computer monitors or hand-held devices for prolonged periods of time.

Aside from making you look like you are preparing for a role in the next Matrix, the glasses work with your eye, optic nerve and brain to help you see better, absorb more, and process more that you could with the naked eye.

The website even has some fancy graphs like this one.

The glasses are available in various colors and models from the Gunnar Optiks website, and range in price from $99 to $189.

Panic Button Saves The Day

panic button

Anyone who has ever worked a job that required countless hours in front of a computer monitor knows the embarrassing feeling of discovering that while you were giggling over some comment a friend posted on your Myspace page, your boss was standing right behind you trying to think of reasons not to fire you. Well now you can safely waste your work hours away with the USB powered Panic Button. When pressed, the device activates one of three designated screensavers on your computer; the “Working Diligently”, “The Boss”, or the “A-Bomb”. For maximum effectiveness use super glue to attach the button to the underside of your desk so you can activate it with your knees.
