Office Desks: Part 12
Am I the only one who still loves the design qualities of the classic roll top desk? Just found this one while on my quest for a new office desk. The All American Cherry Emerson Cylinder Roll Top Desk II (could they have named it something longer?) has one pullout writing surface, one utility drawer, and three drawers behind the rolltop.
The desk is available from Computer Desks N More for $1049.

Office Desks: Part 9
Ok so for most of my office desk series I have shown you guys a bunch of great desks, all of which I really like, but most of which aren’t really all that practical. So to change things up I wanted to show you this gorgeous black desk which has more of a classic office design feel as opposed to the more modern minimalist designs I have shown you up until now.
The Portofino Decorative Desk is made by Stanley Furniture, and offers an aged appeal with extreme antiquing and the Portofino’s signature rub-thorough finish. It features a center keyboard drawer, two utility drawers, and one file drawer, and comes in either ivory or basque black.
You can buy the desk at Black Lion Furniture for $1179.

Office Desks: Part 8
The Solo Lounge Table from Intelligent Forms may look like an ordinary glass desk, but a closer look reveals a series of solar panels lining the whole tabletop. The solar panels are placed in between tempered glass panels, and provide over 17 kilowatts of solar energy per year(under ideal conditions), which is transmitted via USB, lighter, and standard 3 prong outlets.
The desk is made from formed stainless steel with a brushed finish, polished stainless steel rods, and features a LCD monitor, internal LEDs, Bluetooth transmitter, and a rechargeable battery array.
Oh and I almost forgot…it will cost you about $14,000.

Office Desks: Part 4
If my morning coffee routine ever stops giving me the energy boost I need to get work done fast, it looks like simply sitting in the vicinity of this office desk will accelerate my work flow to the speed of light…which is not surprising when considering the fact that it was inspired by space shuttles.

Office Desks: Part 3
This uniquely shaped office desk comes from designer Martin Holzapfel and is called the Bureau.
The design is a combination of two functions: a desk and a shelf, both of which can be moved around and positioned freely to fit the space in your home office, making it a great option for those with limited space or those looking for a flexible corner desk.
The shelves give the user the option to store things out of plain view and are large enough to fit your laptop, office supplies, or books.

Office Desks: Part 2
Next up in my office desk series is the MILK desk by designer Soren Kjaer. The desk aspires to appear smart but not overly sophisticated, to unite simple form with practical function, and is truly one of the more visually appealing computer desks I have come across.
Aside from making your Mac look even more pretty, the MILK desk features a built in fish tank, garbage bin, pen holder, file cabinets, height adjuster, cable drawer, and an iPod storage box. It measures 55.12′ by 31.49′ and comes in a white high gloss lacquer with a massive aluminium or chrome foot.
You can buy the MILK desk HERE.
More pics after the jump.

Staying Fit At The Office
The other day a friend was telling me about his experience at a boot-camp workout session. It was his first time, and he was asked to do as many push-ups as possible in 1 minute, in order to set a benchmark by which he could compare future progress. He supposedly managed to muster up 45 good ones, a claim which i regrettably ridiculed as child’s play. Although I had not exercised in quite some time, I based my declaration on the knowledge that I had been somewhat of a gym rat a few years back, and back then doing 45 push-ups was nothing more than a nice warm-up. Sadly, this was not the case anymore as I struggled to break 40, and was left motionless on the floor for some time after, swimming in humiliation. The whole experience made me realize, that by sitting in front of my desk all day snacking on Doritos, I am destined to become that weird fat guy who hangs out by the soda machine on his lunch break, and gets his stapler stolen everyday. Feeling the urge to take immediate action, i began crawling the internet looking for a solution, and eventually arrived at what can only be described as true genius: the Hula Chair.
Sadly, while the Hula Chair might provide me with my much needed “exercise”, it will most likely not prevent my stapler from getting jacked.

Paper Stichlock Stapler

Did you loose your stapler…again? Well don’t worry you don’t need it anymore. This Paper StichLock-Wanko actually “stitches” together up to 4 sheets of paper, and is environmentally friendly as it eliminates the need for the stack of staples piled up in your desk drawer. It doesn’t have quite as much binding power as the traditional stapler, but it’s easier to track down in case someone “borrows” it.
