Give Me Space, Lots of Space
The tangle of cables and wires beneath my desk looks like a cluster of poisonous snakes. Doesn’t everyone’s? I have been searching for a clean, elegant, totally neat solution for years, but none of the ones I looked at seemed good enough for me to pull out my wallet and dig out a credit card.
That was until I stumbled upon Bluelounge’s SpaceStation, an organizer that can satisfy even me. (I’m a hard sell—an early adopter with lofty expectations.)
Space Station is perfect even for perfectionists. Especially those who use laptops as desktops when they’re home.
It takes up little space. In fact, it’s downright inconspicuous—and easy to clean around. It lays nearly as flat as your desk while still leaving enough space beneath to keep everything cool—in every sense. It has a cool design. (Funny, it doesn’t look like an organizer.)
It has room for USBs (ditch that hub!), iPods, scanners, printers, laptop connectors, cameras, and even paper. For just $79.95 each, it’s just what I’ve been waiting for. I’m glad I was patient.

Be Smart, Clip Smart
Be Smart, Clip Smart
The paperless office was supposed to be here by now, but while we continue to wait, here is a something to make keeping your documents together a lot easier; The Smart Clipper from Smart Office Products. It comes in three sizes: Large, Medium, and Small. Good thinking there. One size never fits all. It also makes a good bookmark.
I particularly like that it stacks flat on the desk. The aesthetics of my home office leave enough to be desired without making the piles of paper on my desk look like leaning towers about to fall over when I sneeze. The clipper also evidently comes in handy for sealing the bags inside cereal bags. I guess that qualifies as thinking inside-the-box.

Office Gadgets: Spy Pen
Well it looks like it’s time to add to the “mostly useless, but oh so awesome” gadget collection. This time its with the Spy Pocket Video Audio Recorder Pen, and like the obnoxiously drawn-out name implies, the only feature this pen seems to lack is a built in lie-detector.
Not only can you record up to 5 hours (aprox. 1GB) of color video in AVI format, but this thing can also be used as a standalone USB drive. Now all you need is to find something worth filming…besides your cat that is.

Prank your cubicle companions
Do you have an annoying cubicle neighbor who taps their feet on the divider all day. I do. To express my gratitude I have decided to get one of these Phantom Keystroker prank devices. After plugging it into the back of his PC, it will periodically begin to move around the cursor while typing in random text, and hopefully send the person into panic. As a bonus I’m thinking of planting a spy cam in his cubicle to capture the magic on tape.
