I’m sure you all still remember the floppy disk right…that old storage device from the 80’s that always had slightly less available storage space then you needed.  Well despite most estimates of it having been permanently retired, the floppy disk has recently made a triumphant return after receiving a slight upgrade.  Thomas O’Connor of Detroit took the infamous piece of square plastic and recycled it into a USB Drive so you could store more than the traditional 1.44mb.  Nice!!

As opposed to the worlds largest keyboard I showed you guys a few days ago, this keyboard from Brando is absolutely tiny.  While it doesn’t quite qualify as the worlds smallest keyboard, at 6.6 inches it’s about as small as I could ever handle for use with a desktop computer.

While keeping up with my office desk series I realized that I should really have started a series for USB flash drives a long time ago. I have posted about several weird and tacky flash drives in the past, but I wind up skipping most of them to avoid having every post be about thumb drives. God knows I love desperately need a cup of coffee when I arrive at work each morning. I also enjoy starting each day by quickly taking care of urgent tasks and projects, which is why my coffee usually goes cold before I manage to finish it. But thanks to the USB Coffee Warmer I think I might start saving a few trips to the kitchen each day. It won’t bring your cup to a boil, but it will keep it at a comfy 104° F.
